The Institut national d'histoire de l'art offers several scholarships to support art history students at the master’s level who need to travel to France for research purposes. These scholarships consist of travel expense reimbursements, up to a maximum of 1000 euros for trips in 2023.
Applications will be evaluated according to the quality of the presentation of the research topic, the justification for a trip to France and finally the degree of preparation for this trip (identification of resources or sources to be consulted and a correctly assessed budget).
Requirements
Candidates are required to be master's student in art history duly registered in a higher education or research institution in a country from the European Union in 2022-2023 regardless of nationality.
Application
The application package will include:
- a cover letter addressed to the Directrice du département des études et de la recherche de l'INHA. The cover letter should include a description of the proposed research project, the reasons for the research (specifying which institutions and collections / archives will be consulted), the duration and the period of stay,
- a curriculum vitae,
- a letter of support from the research supervisor,
- a budget for the proposed research project,
- copy of a student card valid for the year 2022-2023.
Applications must be submitted online here until January 4th, 2023 (form will open around November 20th).
